The offline star chart

FredSky is a personal iPhone app that shows a live, zenith-centered chart of exactly what is above you right now — stars, constellations, the planets and Moon, and visible satellite passes. Raise the phone and it overlays labels on the camera view; it also identifies birds by their song. The astronomy works fully offline from a bundled star catalog.

There are no accounts and no sign-up — the app just works when you open it.

FredSky has no account to delete. Your bird life list is stored only on your device, and removing the app deletes it. Bird-song recordings sent for identification are deleted from the server the moment identification finishes. See the Privacy Policy for details.
